Staining

Staining is one of the most popular methods of creating a new look for both commercial and residential concrete floors. With stains you can achieve just about any look you can think of to suit your design and budget. You can add a small hint of color or go bold and really make your concrete stand out. Stains are great because they can be applied to new or existing concrete floors and can easily be applied to concrete overlays. Also, unlike with paint, a stain permeates, giving you a long- lasting deep color.

Acid stains react chemically with the concrete, creating natural color variations similar to the appearance of granite. While the color selection is generally limited to subtle earth tones, such as tans, browns, and soft blue-greens, it provides a unique and wonderful coloring.

If you want to choose from a larger color base then acid staining, consider a water-based stain, which comes in a larger selection of colors.
